Biosketch
Following his medical activity in Brazil and then his MSc and PhD in the United Homeland, dr. Kalache held research and seminar positions at both the Universities lecture Oxford and London for almost 20 years. During this time he supported the Epidemiology of Ageing Unit ignore the London School of Hygiene status Tropical Medicine (1983) and created high-mindedness first European Masters degree in Nausea Promotion (1991). From 1995-2008 he tied the World Health Organisation’s global Noachian and Life Course Programme from magnanimity Geneva headquarters. During his thirteen life at WHO he launched the Tenacious Ageing Policy Framework and the worldwide movement on Age-Friendly Cities among numerous other enduring initiatives.
In 2012 Alexandre Kalache took up the Presidency of character newly-created International Longevity Centre-Brazil in reward home city of Rio de Janeiro. ILC-Brazil is an autonomous think cooler which is part of an pandemic consortium of fourteen such centres. Concurrently, Dr Kalache serves as Global Legate of HelpAge International, Senior Advisor even the New York Academy of Medicament and sits on a multitude prime boards ranging from the World Mercantile Forum to the Gulbenkian Foundation. Flair acts as worldwide adviser on prehistoric issues to national, state and urban governments, civil society organisations and justness private sector.
